Richmond Asset Management (RAM)

In 2016, Aly and Dave met on the squash court and quickly bonded over a shared passion for real estate. What started as a friendship soon became a partnership, leading to their first property purchase on Richmond Street in Windsor, Ontario. RAM was born, named after this pivotal location and inspired by the qualities of a ram: strength, determination, and leadership.

From that first deal, Aly and Dave focused on high-growth opportunities in Southwestern Ontario, a region ripe with potential. As the population boomed and demand for prime properties soared, RAM made its mark by strategically acquiring and enhancing properties that add value to the community. Our focus is on 15+ unit apartment buildings, mixed-use retail/residential spaces, and land primed for future development.

Today, RAM is a dynamic real estate asset management company with a rapidly expanding portfolio across Southwestern Ontario. Our commitment to providing safe, fresh and clean accommodations drives our success, along with our determination to deliver strong returns. At RAM, we’re not just building properties—we’re building a reputation as the most respected real estate owner in the region.

Meet the team

  • A passionate real estate asset manager focused on driving profitable growth. As the Co-Founder of Richmond Asset Management, Dave and his partner Aly acquire undervalued properties with an emphasis on value-add potential. Together, they have successfully completed 25+ real estate acquisitions and have been building their portfolio in Southwestern Ontario since 2016.

    Dave brings his values of trust, profitability, and growth to the forefront of his work.  Prioritizing a foundation of trust with all stakeholders, then focusing on profitable projects, and lastly moving the business forward through strategic growth. His ability to identify sound opportunities and relentless focus on execution have been central to his success. Dave is passionate about being a positive contributor to the community. He strives to do so professionally through RAM’s investments at improving their properties, and proudly creating safe, fresh and clean accommodations to their tenants.

    Before Co-Founding RAM, Dave was a member of the Canadian Senior Leadership Team and held the title of Senior Vice President at a Fortune 100 insurance company Liberty Mutual. He built a reputation as an underwriting executive able to collaborate with a wide range of people to deliver profitable growth, by identifying profitable niches and focusing on winning in the higher margin business.

    Dave holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a Major in Finance from McGill University and was on the Dean’s Honour List.

    Outside of work, Dave enjoys spending time with his friends and family, including his wife and three children. He loves sports and staying active, as an avid runner, golfer, skier, soccer and squash player.

  • Aly & Dave acquire their first multi-family property on Richmond Street in Windsor, Ontario, and RAM is born 

  • RAM begins expanding beyond smaller, multi-family units and starts acquiring commercial retail real estate

  • RAM’s portfolio exceeds 100 units in Windsor.

  • Aly & Dave formally launch Richmond Asset Management and Richmond Property Management to scale the business.

  • RAM is on pace to acquire $25 million of new, value-add real estate in the Windsor region in the first full year of formally launching Richmond Asset Management.
